Echoes of Contemplation

Echoes of Contemplation” is a contemporary body of work that draws from the knowledge of historical writings, techniques, materials and the working practices of the old miniature painters. This way of painting has been absorbed in my work over many years of practice and learning with the remaining masters of this ancient craft. Veeda Ahmed initially trained at The University of Punjab, Lahore, and the Ruskin School of Drawing & Fine Art, Oxford University. She went on to study at The Prince’s School of Traditional Arts, London, where she received a PhD in Persian, Mughal and Pahari drawing and painting. She is a critically acclaimed artist having participated in over 40 exhibitions all over the world.
